Commenced her professional career as a Science Teacher at the C2 school, where she demonstrated a distinctive and interactive teaching approach that emphasized active learning and collaborative engagement among students. Throughout her tenure, she was appointed as a member of the Science Coordinators Team in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in recognition of her exceptional performance and professional excellence. Owing to her consistently outstanding evaluations, she was subsequently promoted to the position of Vice Principal at a primary school, where she played a key role in advancing the school’s development, supporting teachers, and fostering a disciplined and nurturing educational environment. MS. Mariam continued her professional growth by obtaining the School Leadership License, which qualified her to assume the position of Principal at Baniyas City School – Cycle 1, following her tenure as Acting Principal of the same school. During this period, she successfully cultivated a positive and inclusive educational climate grounded in mutual respect, teamwork, and innovation within the teaching community, while reinforcing the values of collaboration and shared responsibility.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in science with a major in Biology from the United Arab Emirates University, in addition to the School Leadership License. She has actively participated in numerous professional development programs focused on educational leadership and team management. She has obtained a diploma in School Leadership and Artificial Intelligence. Ms. Mariam firmly believes in the significance of strategic partnership between the school, the family, and the local community. Accordingly, she is committed to establishing effective channels of communication with parents to ensure the academic and behavioral development of students.

Is the Director of School Improvement, with more than 30 years of distinguished experience in educational leadership. A specialist in school improvement and quality assurance, she has successfully guided both national and international schools across MOE, British, American, IB, and Indian curricula. Her leadership has helped schools strengthen teaching and learning, achieve higher ratings in inspections, and deliver stronger outcomes for students. With expertise in inspection readiness, self-evaluation frameworks, and data-driven improvement, she has a proven record of driving sustainable, system-wide progress.
Throughout her career, Sajida has led large-scale school improvement projects, focusing on curriculum alignment, leadership capacity building, and continuous professional development for teachers. She is recognized for mentoring principals, senior leaders, and subject coordinators, ensuring a culture of accountability and innovation that benefits the entire school community. Her inclusive approach ensures high-quality education for all learners, including students of determination, English language learners, and the gifted.
She holds a Master of Education and a Professional Teaching Certificate from the American University in Dubai, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law from the University of Jordan. Beyond her leadership roles, she contributes to the broader educational field as a senior judge for the Arab Reading Challenge and the Emirates Literature Festival, promoting literacy, innovation, and excellence in education.
