At Maryam Bint Omran Charter School, we set our students up for success and support them to build bright futures.   • At Maryam Bint Omran Charter School, our teaching program combines best practices with flexibility around how material is taught and assessed. It offers room for exploration and builds stronger teacher-student relationships, while prioritizing creativity.  

    Our approach provides students with a one-of-a-kind experience where they have the opportunity to choose certain subjects to study. We offer a strong foundation in terms of rigorous standards for completing each grade.

    At the same time, teachers collaborate to create units of work that are centered around students, in ways that encourage them to think out of the box for solutions.

    With state-of-the-art laboratories, athletic fields, playgrounds and performance spaces, we offer all the necessary components to support student learning.

Principal | School Leader Ms. Khadija Husain Al Hosani is a visionary educational leader with over 29 years of distinguished experience in advancing school excellence and leading educational transformation across all learning phases in the United Arab Emirates.

Her professional journey reflects a strong capacity to translate strategic vision into meaningful, high-impact educational outcomes, spanning early childhood, primary, and secondary education.

She is widely recognized for her results-driven leadership, unwavering commitment to educational quality, and expertise in strategic planning, academic excellence, talent development, and change management.

Throughout her career, Ms. Al Hosani has successfully led comprehensive school improvement initiatives, enhanced teaching and learning practices, and ensured alignment with national educational priorities and future-focused agendas.

Ms. Al Hosani holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UAE University, complemented by multiple advanced diplomas and professional certifications in educational leadership, qualityassurance, strategic management, and professional development.

These qualifications position her as a trusted leader and an influential contributor to educational innovation and sustainable school growth.

As Principal of Maryam Bint Omran school, Ms. Al Hosani is committed to building a high-performing learning community that values excellence, integrity, inclusivity, and innovation, preparing students to succeed academically and thrive as responsible global citizens.

Paula Assaf

Director of School improvement 

Maryam Bint Omran School

Paula Assaf is an experienced educator and leader with over 19 years in the education field, including 17 years in the UAE. She is Director of School Improvement and also oversees Data and Assessment across New Century Education schools.

With five years of specialized experience in Data and Assessment, Paula has led system-wide frameworks that strengthen evidence-based teaching and improve student outcomes. Her work includes guiding curriculum alignment, preparing schools for ADEK and KHDA inspections, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all phases.

Paula began her career as a Math teacher before advancing into leadership roles such as Department Head and Assessment Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Math and Science and is currently pursuing a Global MBA at Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London. Guided by her principle of “make tomorrow better than yesterday,” she is committed to empowering schools, teachers, and students to excel.
